Sorry, title should be "Chimaera track chassis." Cannot amend now.

Saw this listed on a well known site and wondered what a track chassis is:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TVR-CHIMAERA-ORANGE/3021...

It seems to have had an immense amount of work and money spent on it, and there is a chassis no ty-wrapped onto the chassis in one of the photos and this may be why it is Q plated.

Anyone who makes a chassis change ought make sure they stamp the no of the old one in. The fact it had to have an SVA suggests it was a cat B/C write off or perhaps re-imported.

Not sure a cable tied chassis plate is the best way to impress buyers! Looks a tidy car, doubt a track chassis is any different to a road chassis - only chassis pic is that underbonnet shot and what you can see looks standard to me.

Possibly a chassis from factory that was intended to be a track car never been on road and now its been made into a road car and g9ne thru SVA just like a kit car and Q plate.
