Not sure if you can see from the pictures but I'm trying to work out the colour on Biddie. She was resprayed before I got her but I want to get some touch up for a couple of small marks.

Although a dark metallic blue, theres definately times where she has more of a purple/ blue appearance.

So I'm thinking rolex blue??...but I've no idea if it was a tvr paint code that was used, original colour was non metallic blue.

Any ideas?

I agree looks blue de chine.

My car was originally blue de chine, had it resprayed to Rolex blue pearl. Mines a p 96 reg. What's your chassis like?

Not sure chaps...it doesn't look exactly like that in the flesh but its difficult to be sure due to the lighting in the photos.

Chassis.....I guess yours must be silver subbed out job being a 96, mines the not so coveted white in house effort. Its solid enough, had all the usual areas checked and no holes found...I've treated any rust and painted, flaky in places before rubbing down, quite a few layers of waxoil over the years. Hows yours doing on the earlier chassis?

Yes mine was a silver chassis, but mine was all rotten on the upper rails with holes infrown, outriggers looked like they had been replaced as they were only Rusty?

Actually saw your thread Richard and it looks very good....I reckon it looks a bit like mine........from a 1000 paces hehe

I'd be careful though posting photos of a pristine chassis....you don't want to give someone who lives in the same county the impression that you'd like to help restore another one wavey

your right as its a very dangerous and slippery slop, i can't touch anything without striping, then painting it first.

I always thought the silver tended to last a bit better but I guess it depends on the life it leads, quality of the job originally and a bit of luck! Good job done I'd say.

Fantastic work there Richard, will last a lifetime nowsmile. Mine is 5 years old now since the body off refurb and is still in tip top condition with no chips on the Chassis, so it gives you an idea of how good the modern powder coating are.

Nothing at all. When rubbing down the powdercoat down to the zinc primer where all the nuts and washers contact the chassis and wishbones etc, a dremel was needed to grind and flatten it off smile.
