Not normal for me to venture into TVR land being a Lotus owner, please no boos, but doing a mate a favour.

Seeing if anyone can point me in the direction of an exhaust manifold gasket for a Chim 5L, composite, as he keeps being offered a metal one, not knowing diddly about Chims your assistance would be much appreciated.

Ideally a supplier in the London or SE area.

Cheers

Try Tower View Race Services near Brent Cross if you're looking in London. TVR Centre are a main stealer who say they hold mega stocks too ...

BTW - I understood the metallised gasket was the one to have since the other style break down too easily? Why does your mate need the crappy type?

Cheers trefor, I know not, but if the metal one, to my mind, is the better one and that is the general consensus then I would have thought he was better off with a metal one. As I saud not squat about Chims and their foibles!

Well both our cars have Rover engines ... there's something in common.

Definitely go for the metal gaskets otherwise you will be replacing the standard ones every year!
