I need to regrease one of my outboard CV joints. Is there a specific grease for this or will generic axel grease do?

Redline CV2 is never a bad bet for this (and wheel bearings).

There would be a pouch of grease in the box when you buy a new boot. I assume the one that's on there is in A1 condition? Personally I'd be changing it if going to the bother.

Boot came loose and sprayed its contents all round the wheel arch. Just needs a regrease and tightening up
