Indeed - it pays to shop around. Those are both (approximate) values of recent quotes for two different Griffs. Actual quotes depend on the colour, the condition of the existing paint/bodywork, whether you want to take the car back to bare GRP before respray, whether it's resprayed in the same colour or a new one, whether things are removed or masked, whether you go to a renowned GRP specialist or 'risk' the local bodyshop etc.
Whatever you do, get more than one quote, get testimonials or at least a look at some previous work and (I'm guessing) don't expect an absolutely flawless job for the lower quotes.
Had my Chim resprayed same colour as original for £2000 about 3 years ago -- not to GRP but took the old laquer off - and could tell that it had been repaired in the factory -- I bought it new and the bonnet had a chunk repaired at the nose.
A very good finish and still looking good -- they are in Brentford London if interested.

The colour is Crimson Starmist so not too exotic.
Have you used them?
Can they deal with small scratches as well that have gone through to the white base?
I remember seeing a forum members profile in the past and it said that they were a Chipsaway technician. Are you out there for some advice or does anyone know who it was?
yep - i used them a couple of months ago. if you have a look at my profile you will see the thread - and this relates what the scratches were like and the result.
edited cos i just had a look at the thread myself - and i see i didn't write very much!
a pretty good job, all in all, especially for the money. you can still see a trace of the really bad scratches, but they were done on a rough-rendered wall, so you can imagine what they were like. right through the primer and 'furry'. barely a line, but knowing it's there doesn't help - a casual look from someone who doesn't know the car would never see it.
he did a graze over the headlight cowl, the three 3-4 inch scratches on the near-side door/wing ( which he had to class as 2 scratches, as it went across different panels, for pricing purposes ) and numerous chips here, there, and everywhere ( which even i can't see were there ) all for 141 quid.
nice bloke too. give 'em a call and they'll come quote, probably do the job there and then if you like the sound of it.
