Thames Valley racetech vs Steve Howard vs D Batty

All,

anyone have any opinions on whether the best independant in the Berks / Hants areas is Steve Howard, Thames Valley Racetech or David Batty?

Need a 36K service and a fix of an oil leak. My car has been serviced by main dealer until now, but I don't believe that the main dealers offer anything over and above the independants.

Dave Batty by a looooooooooooooooong way. Though he's very busy as all the good indies are (and he's very very good ) He's the only one of the three on my *recommended* list

He's been great for the last 2 services so DB definitelly gets my vote. His garage is always full when I'm down there so I take that as a continuing good sign too.

I don't really think it's fair to compare and contrast 3 indies as, by definition, you're going to have to post something negative about 2 of them (even if it is by implication).

However, Dave has been looking after my Chimaera for 3 years, I know of at least 2 other PHers who use him by direct recommendation from me, and he won an award at Black Tie & Pie 2002.
