New carpet and complete interior
Discussion
All I know is having helped Rich with his interior re fit,
A good woman with a sowing machine and staple gun or whatever they use, or send your dash top or bits you want covering like the centre consul off to a specialist to do the difficult bits then put it back together, new carpets etc, looks like new and doesn't have to cost anywhere near 4 figures!

Here's a funny story, Rich left Richard 858 and myself with a bag of pre cut pieces of carpet, all we had to do was sort them out, no numbers or identification so match them up to parts of the interior, easier said than done with Richard and myself never quite sure what was what, you don't want to glue something down then realise it's for somewhere else, panic set in and we all but gave up, luckily we'd got 95% correct and Rich sorted the other bits out.

Richards engine bay,,, yet we was flummoxed over a bit of carpet, proper funny at the time..
It soon goes in in a logical order and Rich's looked excellent.
He wasn't happy about the pile of the carpet, so get heavy as you can.

I bought a carpet set off of D&C and fitted myself and yes a couple of the sections throw you a bit
Easy if you did again though.
I've got vinyl in mine and although I recoloured it does attract the dirt a bit, you have to go heavy on the cross linker and super seal to stop that....so I quite fancy a new leather interior...smells good too.

Yeah, seeing Rich car bare, it's not as bad as all that to do and it soon looks rewarding. yeah proper leather smell,

I like the thick pile carpet, Bentley carpets used to be about an inch or two thick, I'd like to be surrounded in that stuff and full on leather.
The windscreen surround is more challenging but depending on your colour choose painting with the correct products iworks and you'd never know it was originally a different colour.
I do like bespoke interiors, when it works it's a real treat.

Thats the bit I was put off by (round the screen) but yes I guess that bit could be left in and recoloured, I masked it off last time and you can't see any patches.I like the thick pile carpet, Bentley carpets used to be about an inch or two thick, I'd like to be surrounded in that stuff and full on leather.

I guess some of it would be easy to recover but the stitching is a bit beyond me so I'd have to buy, but I'd give the fitting a go for sure, I pretty much took the whole interior apart when doing the carpets and new dash.
Agree with Daren that it probably is a big saving, covering the seats alone ain't cheap.
I've seen a few pictures (not in the flesh) of bespoke interiors and the difference it makes is phenominal...finish that with deep pile carpet and you could sleep there

Labour charges for fitting is always the expensive cost as we know, so if you don't mind tackling the leather and buying a good quality carpet set at the same time your looking at an outlay of £2200 ball park figure.
It would be interesting to compare 2 separate interior refreshes.
1. A professional trimmer has done.
2. A TVR enthusiast has done.
