Today has been a good day. Let me explain.

Years ago my college tutor turned up in a dark green Chimaera, and on our last day took us all out for a spin in it. It was amazing, and I said I'd have one at some point. Fast forward 10 years to mid 2015, and after selling my Porsche 924 and a few other bits, I actually got one. It was a 400 in Etna black pearl, with Tuscan front lights and Cerbera rears. I loved it, vowed I would never sell it and drove it everyday...for 3 months. Out of the blue a few huge bills landed, and I had to look at what could be sold to sort it, so the TVR went. I was gutted. This was it the day it was collected -

Since then, prices have gone up massively (I bought the black car for £5000 and sold it for £5500) and I thought they were a bit out of reach for me now. I've been saving though, and after selling my SD1 Vitesse I started seriously looking again.

That's when I found this -

It's a 400 again, with 55'000 miles. It's been well looked after and has a good history file, plenty of receipts and is everything I wanted in a TVR. I love it. Bought and collected today, I drove back over the Cat and Fiddle with the roof off.... perfect.

I've got some plans, some improvements and some niggles to sort, but I plan on really enjoying this one.

If it's of any interest I'll post the updates/progress on here!

Cheers.

That's a lovely looking Chimaera you've got yourself.
