I`ve just started to change the C/V joints, got one drive shaft off of the car, removed the circlip and had to use a puller to get the old joint off of the shaft. Should the joint be that tight on the splines ? All looks fine with no damage to the splines so i`m assuming that the joints are a tight fit, one down, 3 to go.

Yep interference is normal and preferable to sliding on and off with ease IMO

Yup - I had to take a cautiously applied hammer to mine.

Brass drift or 3 legged puller always does the trick remove balls and cage 1st however wink you dont want to crack of fracture the cage

Cheers guys, I was a little concerned, I reckon the propshaft u/j`s are next to be replaced, that should give me a quieter ride too.
