relay identification

this should help....

All availale from local motor factors, most are common 4pin type available worst case in halfrauds with the exception of the fuel/ecu relays which are both bosch part no 0 332 014 112
Fusebox/Relay layout may differ between models but again most are the common 4 pin type with the exception of the interior light delay relay which is a ford part, this relay has part no. 85GG 13C718 AA on it and this apparently changed to 92GG 13C718 AA and the Ford FINIS no. is 6434052

I bet 90 odd % of the fuses in my box are the original ones.
That's a thought from a car almost 17 years old
Yes and leave them that way the current quality of aftermarket fuses are absolute sThat's a thought from a car almost 17 years old

t, the ones we havefitted are of a quality that is hard to find now, this size fuse is obsolete on modern vehicles so crap quality stuff is churned out
I bought a couple of fuse box's complete with fuses off Ebay to get some OE quality spare fuses. Think one was LR Discovery but need to get a better price than this to make it worth while

Y
t fuses nowadays

Thats the way, even main dealers Ford VW etc will sell generic s

The Vauxhall Astra Nova Corsa Cavalier Vectra Carlton Omega stalks are notoriously unreliable
since 1st trading for myself changed more than I care to remember on all of the above donor cars over a 25 year period and yes inc my own Chimaera flashing people by accident (main beam) changing lanes at night

My "guess" would be the stalk

advised it was the stalk so got one from a Vauxhall online parts dealer and it's been sound since. Mk3 Astra I think.

I dont mind that Alun but which part ?
Ohh Daz, if only I could use a computer properly id still have the details. The stalk.
When you think about it the part must have been used by Vauxhall, around 88 onwards at least.
It's pretty generic, check the function is the same and it should be the one.
If you have alloy add on arms you'll need to cut the plastic arm off the new one but you'll see where when you remove the old one. Held on with a grub screw.
You'll remove the cowling etc to get access. It's easy enough even I did it.

I think I used this opportunity to add a couple of 1mm washers to my steering column fixing bolts, moved the steering wheel position down and more suited to my hand /wrist position, (made to measure)

I have a 93 Chimaera that shut off on the way to a car show. The fuel pump relay is working with the pump running and I have spark from the coil. The main power relay sends power works and sends power to 87 terminals. Does anyone know what my third relay from the engine management harness along side the furl pump and main power relays is? It was buzzing and when I went to swap it with another relay I found it did not have a plug only individual wires to the relay. Now I don't know how to connect them or what the relay is for. This relay has a white wire, black wire , brown with black stripe wire that has + power with the ignition switch on, black with green wire and a black with red wire.
Also I have a white wire with what looks like resistors that fell off when I was checking the car.
