Hi, Hope you can help. As organisers of the 14th Brill Classic and sports car gathering, we are looking for a marque to take pride of place in front of the pavilion during the afternoon of August 27th this year. As it is the 25th anniversary of the launch of the Chimaera and as two of us are long term TVR owners it seemed a perfect excuse to float the idea of a Chimaera display and to see what interest there is amongst the ownership to make it happen? The classic and sports car gathering forms part of the Brill festival weekend and is a very relaxed, free entry, come and go as you please afternoon. If you would like to get a flavour for the event, there is a short, promotional film from previous years on https://vimeo.com/126798119
The location is HP18 9RT in mid Bucks
Please let us know what you think & Cheers for reading.

Sounds like a great idea. A little " food for thought "

I think to get interest from further afield to attend, it would be great if there was camping close by.....................especially as its a beer festival yes

Chim owners could then make a weekend of it, maybe with a little drive out somewhere ?

Nothing better than seeing and HEARING these beasts on the move.

I would potentially be up for this too, only 30 miles away and looks like it could be a very good day out. smile

We are just a short hoon away from The Bucks railway centre, Waddesdon manor, Bicester village and Blenhiem palace - any of which would be worth a convoy run. Re camping: There are some local campsites in the surrounding area, but are all a drive away so not much help for those wanting to indulge in the delights of the beer festival! The Pheasant in the village (recent winner of Four in a bed) has 4 letting rooms and whilst we certainly have the room on site for camping, we have no permanent camping facilities, so would need to look into this further if there were the demand. Cheers!

I very much like the sound of this too.
As you may well tell by the response so far,, most cars and even some of the owners are in hibernation right now.

Ok I'll be serious,,, great idea thumbup

I'm attempting to fix mine tomorrow (or at least replace the 100A fuse), so genuinely don't know if it will be working next week! biggrin

But I'm hopeful it will be sorted by the August bank holiday weekend... hehe

Could turn it into a real event, well from a Tiv owners point of view at least smile

Would also mean more draw to owners further away, potentially the catalyst for a proper gathering!

smile

If you make a start bright and early you may just make the date biggrin

I use a small cable tie to keep the 100A fuse holder closed as mine has a habit of popping open wink

Jack it up as high as you can or it's a tight squeeze just getting at it smile

Assuming you're not too fussy about paintwork being in perfect condition, then I'd be up for this.

You never know, by August I might even have a rear screen without a massive hole in it laugh

Chims may be a little thin on the ground as this coincides with the Blenheim festival of transport which hosts the annual Chimfest & T cars gathhering over both days of the bank holiday.

That'll be me then !!
As mph.52 was saying we are looking for a Chim line-up marking every year of production from 1992-2003 if we can convince you all.
Doesn't matter what condition, modified, model or even colour ! All other TVR's are welcome of course.

I'll start a list :

1992
1993 - mph.42 4.0 Silver
1994
1995
1996
1997
1998 - V41LEY 4.5 Midnight Blue Pearl
1999
2000
2001
2002
2003

No problem with duplicates as that gives cover if folk drop out.
