In true restoration style I've got a bit left over that I obviously removed and sent to the powder coaters! Anyone help with where it lives please?

Nope, I've not a clue. Reinforcement for something bolted to the fiberglass, like a backing plate for steering column or something? Someone will be along to educate us soon biggrin

It goes on top of the gearbox mount and under the gearbox .

Ah I didn't think of a spacer, I only did my engine mounts a month ago too. I'm crap at pub quizzes as well paperbag

Initially agreed with this but on comparison to an engine mount spacer I had lying round (see below) it's different. Still looks a spacer though!

It's obviously a rectangular hole in the boot carpet with a piece of white paper beneath it.

I just so happen to have my car apart.

Here is my gearbox spacer.



Size is 110 x 50mm.

Obviously the spark plug isn't part of the set up, it is just holding the plate up from the gearbox bracket.
