Hi all, hope you are enjoying the brief good weather!!
Had a quick look under mine today due to a small oil leak, looks like it is coming from the oil pressure switch, has anyone else had this???, do you know how much they are and how difficult they are to change? looks like a nightmare as with everything TVR!!!!
cheers

Fairly easy but you need to get one with the right thread - and the only way to be sure is to take the old one out. If it's leaking from the body I guess there's no option but replace it, but if its leaking round the thread you may be able to seal it with PTFE or something? Just a guess, but may be worth a try.

Remember, oil will leak out while the sensor is removed, and you don't want to let the pump drain.

Thanks Peter, how do you suggest I prevent that if I have to take it to a dealer to match the thread?, Should I just block the hole with something??
cheers

Are you serp or pre-serp as they used different threads sometimes. Use a copper washer to help seal the sensor to the engine. If it is serp, it could be 1/2 inch UNF but it all depends on what they used...

Its a serp, but as with TVR, as you say I think its a case of what ever was the closest at the time!!!!
