HELP - Removing side repeaters

My MoT is on Tuesday and would you believe it, but my passenger side indicator side-repeater has today decided to stop working!

Had a quick look in the Bible which talks about the rounded rectangular and the oval versions being held in by a nut/spring clip or just push fit. However, i have circular repeaters!

My car is a 94 M Chimaera 400.

Does anyone know how to remove these?

I've used a flat blade screwdriver to prize the indicator away from the bodywork. The unit has two prongs, one of which has now snapped off as the plastic is now very brittle. There still seems to be something hold it in though when i pull on it.

If there is a spring clip or nut, how do i get inside the front wing?

If i pull any harder on the indicator, i think it may break completely. All i want to do is get to the bulb so i can checking if it's blown and making good connection.

If I remember correctly I managed to prise mine off of my 1993 without having to get in the back.
Certainly were'nt held in by any fixings.

I have the same repeaters and cannot get them off either, did you ever manage to get them off?

Mine are held it with 2 plastic springs. Be aware that the springs aren't symmetrical.

Mine just come off with a flat bladed screwdriver. They're only a tenner if you break them (they do get brittle with age).

IIRC the slot is towards the front of the car, so push backwards and it should lift out at the front. Slots may have been cut different ways tho!!! or someone may even have glued/sealed it fast... As usual YMMV - so any kind of reply is possible????? Just hope its not superglued - bugger on the paintwork
