Removing the power steering hose

Need to replace the high pressure hose that runs from the pump to the steering rack. I've found someone who can make up a new one but I need to disconnect/remove the existing one so he can do this. Anyone had experience of disconnecting this hose, is it a tricky job? Any tips would be welcome.
