SPEEDO SENSOR GAP?

Having just done a body off resto of the chassis on my Chimaera, the only thing not working properly is the speedo. I have set the sensor gap on the diff output shaft at .020", 015",010". The speedo is working intermittently above 20mph at .010" but shows nothing below 20mph.

Does anyone know what the correct gap should be?

Have you tried cleaning the end of the sensor? The magnetic function causes it to pick up metallic dirt/grime.
