Sticking throttle cable.

I have noticed that periodically that the revs on tickover can mendre around 1,800-2,000 revs every now and again but a blip of the throttle a couple of times brings it back to normal, is this the sign of a fraying cable?

I've had this off & on with all my Chims. More likely to do with steppers motor & other fuel related gizmos.

the throttle cables do go rusty inside ( mine is ready for replacment now ) but what you're describing sounds more like stepper motor...
