GKN Diff Oil Volume

Hi,

I've just drained the oil from my GKN diff - mostly into a bowl but a fair bit on the floor as well...

I undid the fill plug (on the rear for me - which was a bit of a swine but I managed it in the end...) and did not expect to get a gush of oil as it came out...but I did!
Scrambled to get my bowl, but after catching that and then the bulk from the drain I'd say there was circa 2 litres of oil in there.

From what I've read, this sounds like a bit much, I was anticipating putting around 1.6l back in, much more and I'd imagine I'll have to tilt the car somewhat so it doesn't just come back out the hole!

Can someone please confirm that this all sounds correct? I don't want to be under or over filling.
I've ordered 2l of Castrol Syntrax LSD 70/140 so should have enough.

Simply fill it until it dribbles out and your done 1.6 to 1-8 max should do it.
