Whilst recently losing my arm whilst changing the headlamp bulb on my Chimaera I hd my handbook open on the boot of my other half's Passat. After saying goodbye to her as she went off to the shops (usual Saturday afternoon thing) I realised that my handbook (including service history had vanished with her. After walking 2 miles along the road looking in every ditch I gave up my hunt for the book and ordered another from TVR. I have had the services stamped up from Harrogate Horseless for all the ones I have receipts for but there is still the first 3 years worth of stamps missing and I can't remember where it was serviced before then. Anyone any ideas how I can get the early services and/or pre delivery stamp stamped up in the handbook?

If it was serviced by a main dealer the factory should have a copy of the records as the dealer sends the tear off bit to the factory.

Cheers,

Yuo could re-enact the incident with a similar size and weight of book. Drive off in the Passat excatly as she did and see where the book ends up. Mind you if someone's pinched it I guess that's that, as it won't have your name or address in it.

Reminds me of a bizarre and inexplicable thing that happened to me once. I drove away from a meeting but left a red clipboard on the car roof. Didn't realise it until a few hundred yards up the road, where I saw - my red clipboard - in the nearside gutter - in front of me....
