Hi all.

Could any of you tell me the correct release bearing for a 2000 Chimaera 500.
The car has a relatively new AP clutch assembly but looking on both the Racetech and TVR parts websites show different bearings, one has a rounded face and the other a flat one. Both are stated as being suitable for a T5 box.

I believe there have been a batch of faulty bearings too so can anyone recommend a known source for a "good" one?

Regards Chris.

I'd talk to Powers for the correct part/info.

If the fingers on the cover are straight, then the flat nosed bearing is right; if curved, then the round nose... although the round nose will work happily with either - some AP Racing covers have a release plate fitted on the fingers - they should use a flat nosed bearing too
