Hi, new to the board and also to the Chim. Currently waiting on my copy of the 'bible' to show up and looking for some help in the meantime.

Was out for a spin yesterday (pre-serp 1994 400) and noticed the temp guage just left of the red marker. When I got home, parked car switched off engine

then steam from bonnet. Lots of it for around a minute. Opened bonnet when it dispersed to find a tiny jet of water spouting from top of rubber hose just

under header tank leaving a small puddle under car and on later inspection a small amount of coolant left in tank.

I have a set of silicon hoses which came with car and was wondering if its best to fit all of the hoses or just the leaky one.

I don't mind doing the repairs myself, just want to check if there could be issues elsewhere as a result of this or if problem was caused by several failed

components. Not started engine since it happened. Does it sound like a simple fix or trouble elsewhere ?

Any feedback would be welcome.

Could just be the one failed hose.
If the others look in good condition and are the colour you want then just replace the one. If they are crap or you want a colour change then replace them all.

Sounds like it happened at just the right time as you got home so no harm done.

Thanks Steve,

Yes I got lucky it happened at home. I may replace all of the hoses, if one goes bad the rest may follow.
