fitting a new set of pedals to the chim, the brake and clutch pedals easy but for the accelerator do you have to take of the whole pedal arm to get the pedal out, hope that makes sense, or is it best to fit them in the car and not take the arm off.

I presume you've got the leven kit with the screw-on plate for the accelerator. I fitted mine in situ. It was relatively easy to drill the holes even though I was upside down in the footwell. I'd say a lot less hastle than removing the pedal.

Just fitted the leven pedals on Sunday. Took about 1.5 hours.Obviously the brake and clutch were straight forward, the accelerator arm was a bit awkward. If you are fitting the arm with the new screw in pedal which mine was you have to remove the arm to fit the complete new one.The only real nasty bit was getting the cable out of the old pedal arm as the end was crimped shut and the cable glued in !!!! Good old tvr !!! You will need two 11/16th spanners, one flat bladed screwy, pair of strong pliers and a small hammer shaft to hold the accelerator linkage open under the bonett, this allows about two inches play in cable at pedal and makes job much easier.
