As above, just collected seats today however electrics are beyond me really.

Anyone done this before and if so how did you wire them up / where did you place switches etc?

Photos show the Mazda connector and wiring.

Any advice appreciated.

it looks like there is maybe 2 circuits there, if so then you should measure for resistance then you would find 2 combinations that show low resistance, for each circuit just put positive to one cable and negative to the other via a switch

Can't help with the wiring but I placed switches under the dash. Not visible but very accessible.

Don't just start throwing 12volts at it as you will likely blow something up.
A heating element will only need two wires so you need to know what the others do.

Do the seats have built in speakers?
Do they have side airbags?

The second is the most important if you start randomly connecting things.

MX5 forums have to be your first port of call.

There are no airbag circuit wires in that plug
Airbag circuit plugs are coloured yellow and their terminals are gold plated

Are you able to post some better images that show all the wires in the plug?
