when do your fans switch off?

If my car is just left idling the temp. will rise to over 90c , the fans switch on and these hold the water temp. [ as measured coming out of the engine] to 95c. do your fans switch on and off while idling or stay on until you are driving?

Mine cycles on and off whilst idling. Similar temps to yours.

Thanks for your info. John, looking at your profile I notice you sold an E Type to buy a house, I did the same in 1973 [ and also used to hillclimb Lotus Elans] cheers, John.
