adding a Turbo to a Chimaera

Hi all,

Now bearing in mind I have all the technical expertise of a cabbage, I had a go in a new Noble at the weekend and loved the sound of the turbo when it kicked in, it got me thinking...

Can a turbo be fitted to a chimaera? and if so, any ideas as to specifics.

I had a look at this for a while with my last S Series, and I think it would be a real PITA with the V8. I'd be trying to use a twin turbo setup in the exhaust collector system before the Y piece, however space is a real problem. Then coupled to that, the amount of pipework required to link the two pressurised airflows together would lead to huge turbo lag I reckon. Another really big issue would be the amount of heat generated under the bonnet.

Of Course there is a gentleman on here with a Supercharged V8 *

There are two ways to do it. One way is a single turbo forward of the V but make sure it's the right turbo for the flow required or I'd prefer a twin turbo install. Use an efi set up like the DTA or boost through a mechanical holley carb. It will be a lot of fun. A v8 on 9:1 c/r will be ok with 7 psi boost but no more.
