yes i know this has been done time and time again, but the search aint working and i've been 10 pages back and can't find an insurance thread.

okay so i've got my renewal from Sunninghill - £831

soo far i've tryed, privaledge, peart & Osborne and Sons and there a waster of time, one coming in a double my renewal!

TVR-insurance.co.uk are calling me back

anyone got the number for A Manning? aint got a sprint at work and can't access the webby

Classicline was best quote for me, Chim is 2nd car and it's on a Future Classic Limited Miles Policy.

If you're looking for 1st car insurance, you might want to try Norwich Union Direct, they were MUCH cheaper than anyone else for my daily driver (Impreza Turbo).

I got a really good price from MSM on 01279 870535.

£931 for a 98 Chim 400. 25yo with 3 points, living in Greenwich SE London, 5000 miles a year, 1 additional named driver, also covers commuting but not track days. Based on mirroring the full no claims bonus I have on my main car.

Some of the quotes i was getting were £3k+ where they couldn't do anything about using the bonus, Mannings came in at £1500, Classicline £1100.

OK, whilst "I got my insurance cheaper than you" threads are pretty tedious, I would definitely try A Manning & Co, via the TVR Car Club.

I recently got an unlimited mileage policy on my '98 Chim 500, with class-1 business use, for £605. This was £200 less than anyone else - actual policy is thru Allianz Cornhill

I went with Direct Line...26 yr old full, full no claims, no points on a 97 Chim400. £740 not garaged.

They quoted me £1242 today, went with A1 in the end, they wernt the cheapest but, unlimited miles but its our 3rd car, garaged and guaranteed value if it gets nicked or written off.

Incidentally, others quoted me as follows;

A1 £836.00
Flux £923.00
Tesco £936.00
Sunnighill £1,152.00
A Manning £1,200.00
elephant £1,230.00
budget £1,688.00
L&V £2,000.00

all had the same brief, A1 got it on umlimited mileage though, just in case i cannot put her away at night !!

nope - 27, 2 year ncb, LE19 garaged 2nd car, limited miles etc etc

The only thing with them is you are not allowed to drive other cars on their policy - shame.

It was the lack of being able to have an additional named driver on the policy and the lack of cover for commuting that put me off Classicline.

Got to make sure the other half is insured to drive for those trips BACK from the pub after long sunny summer afternoons
