Brakes question

I had a look through the search section, now either iam not reading them or my answer isnt there so forgive me if I go over old ground.
Iam looking to upgrade the standard brakes on my 4L.
Can someone out there give me some help with a few questions.
1. XR4i callipers and discs (Iam sure I read some where fit the chim) are they a direct replacement or are there other bits, alterations to add etc. If I went down this option do you replace all 4 discs and callipers etc. Any idea on prices??
2. Is there a kit you can buy that comes with the discs and new callipers that are a direct replacement or with minor additions / alterations. Again any idea on costs.
3. If all of the above are not true wat options are there, and does anyone know who to speak to in order to get advise on getting parts and doing the work yourself.
I see threads that say that owners cars are going in for brake upgrades etc but I would like to do the work myself. Is this possible / realistic

for the monstrous sum of £100 bought a pair of good sierra sapphire cosworth 4x4 1991-1994 calipers and disks simple straight bolt on conversion 285mm disks great stopping power and they finally fill the wheels properly!!!!!!!!
