Been looking at this one with a view to making a serious bid for it. I'm just a tad suspicious as, although it looks nice cosmetically in the photos, it's been up for sale for quite a while. Is that just due to the mileage? Just wondered if anyone's been to look at it, particularly the chassis - as it's a tad difficult for me being up north. Ta.

I haven't looked at it but I do find it odd when sellers don't post any photos of the interior, especially when it has Cerb seats.

I'm with Ole on this one.... The front wheel drive 450's were notorious for torque steer and rear wheel break away under heavy deceleration.... I'd give this a wide berth, they only made a few of the FWD cars, I think most were produced on Friday afternoons during those long hot summers we used to get.... I'd try and find a good rear wheel drive car, I think they'll hold their price and the road a lot better.. I wouldn't be put off by 60k miles though, its been used which is a good thing....... stunning looking car in my opinion...

OP, there is a red one for sale that has both a story behind it that is both sad and up-lifting at the same time. If I was in the market at that sort of money, it would be top of my list.

I have known the guys at Hawthorns in Farnham well lets just say since I left school and they used to be a TVR dealer, they look after my Chimaera now too as there head mechanic is an ex-TVR mechanic who also used to service on the (what used to be the Station Hill TVR Tuscan race car)

When I went in to pay for my recent service I saw this in the showroom and its very nice....

The don't tend to sell tat...if you wanted me to go down and have a look at it for you would be happy to...make the call speak to them and let me know.

I could pop down Saturday if you wanted...as I say they are not in the game of selling rubbish they have a very big local customer base.

Similar mk3 for sale at Fernhurst not that far from Hawthorns.

I assume Graham (TV8) is refering to a nice 430 for sale by a mutual friend. If he is, it is indeed a well sorted 430. Unfortunately, the owner is out of the country atm.

I wasnt refering to the 430 but that is a nice car!

The one referenced is an ex members car who sadly passed away and the good folk on here helped him get it back on the road.
