Chimaera - Gearbox housing inspection cover
Discussion
Hi,
Grateful for your help with a couple of issues I am having with our Chimaera 450 we bought in February this year, (1st registered new in 2000).
I had a new ACT 'cherry bomb' Exhaust fitted last week by a local indy mechanic and I am absolutely delighted with the results... much deeper sound both at idle & on the move.
During the exhaust fitting, the mechanic noticed that there is what looks to be an 'inspection cover' missing around the gearbox housing??... apologies for my vagueness as to the exact location and unfortunately I don't have a photograph to help.
Can anyone identify what cover this is likely to be and where I may order a replacement from?
The second issue is that the 'brake lights' are not working... this issue is not related to the exhaust replacement work.
I adjusted the position of the foot-brake pedal a few weeks ago and I am wondering if this might have caused the brake lights to stop working.
Grateful for any help anyone can provide on this.
Thanks in advance.

You don't need the cover on. Had my Chimaera 8 years now, no cover on, no problems.Grateful for your help with a couple of issues I am having with our Chimaera 450 we bought in February this year, (1st registered new in 2000).

Here is one if you think you must have.

The brake lights have a micro switch actually worked by the brake pedal, so when you adjusted it, you may have moved or knocked it somehow.
Have a look where the pedals are the switch is pretty easy to see.
