Hi all
Nothing happens when I turn the key. No click nothing. This was immediately after installing a starter motor with a new solenoid (that has been bench tested). The rest of the car (fuel pump etc) gets going so there must be mains feed going to the starter motor itself. I am therefore suspecting the solenoid feed from the ignition switch and will test it with a voltmeter this evening
Assuming that is the problem, does anyone know how that wire finds its way to the ignition switch? Does it go straight or via the passenger footwell? Is it fused?

The solenoid feed is via the passenger footwell. There is a connector block with three black link wires and one of those supplies the feed. Mod-wise.com have a kit for inserting an additional relay so that you can feed the soleniod direct from the battery. TVR wiring supplies the solenoid direct through the immobiliser, which sometimes cannot supply enough current to actuate the solenoid.
