Hoping I can get some help with my washing machine before everyone gets pissed tonight smile
Have a Candy GVS1610TH Washing Machine that is displaying an error code E20. It just seems to stop.
Ive tried googling but there is no mention of an E20 code(for Candy at least),they only go up to E18 frown
Obviously Candy are shut at the minute but I was wondering if anyone can shed some light?

TIA

Is it draining? Might be worth checking the drain pipe etc

Only a guess but have you cleaned the filter regularly? Last time I had problems I found a couple of quid and a bit of a biro blocking the filter which shut the whole machine down.

A quick google does seem to point to it not draining.

Google say E20 is a generic code for a drainage problem. Is your m/c draining OK? Either way take the filter out and give it a good clean.

Google also gives a link to this page, though not overly helpful re E20
http://service.candy-domestic.co.uk/fault-finder/F...

I just put "Candy washing machine error code E20" into Google and that, along with loads of other solutions, came back.

Good luck

Thanks for the replies.
Turned out to be a drainage problem after all. I got down on my knees and unscrewed the filter thing...it cleared the blockage,as well as soaking me!
Why they can't put the code in Google is beyond me..the official Candy site says anything over E04 needs a repair man out!!! That could have been expensive!

Sorry I didn't update earlier but with NYE, the booze got in the way smile
