In process of restoration project in which my car has Headlamp conversion to late Chimaera style lights. However on stripping car for chassis off job, holes in front arches for lights have huge openings and wondered what others have used to cover cut outs with...





Any thoughts and suggestions for fix would be appreciated.

I think you would have to fibre glass those holes first and the cut holes to fit these. they are marine inspection tank covers,available on the "bay".]

Your profile says it's a '96 car which is the facelift year. If it is 'pre-facelift' and still has the front mesh grill, then those holes have been cut (shoddily it seems) to give access to the rear of the lamps by somebody who couldn't be bothered removing the grill.

After late 1996, the ones with a slightly different front end have access panels provided in the front wheel arches.

Yes you are correct in that it's a mark one and also going through issue of repairing water jet hose and car didn't have the access panel in the dash...
