Chimaera rear speakers

I have just pruchased my first TVR (a 1996 P 4.0 litre Chimaera) and have a very simple question! The car does not have rear speakers and I am unsure whether there is wiring to the rear speaker holes - do they come from the factory with this wiring? If not, what is the best route to run the wires from the stereo? I hope someone can help!
The holes in the back are not speaker holes - they're ventilation holes, so there are no factory fitted speaker cables.....
From experience, most Chimaera owners have fitted speakers in these vents.
You need to run the speaker cables from your stereo to the rear - generally down each side under the carpets - just make sure there is a gap around whichever speakers you install, to keep the ventilation sorted.
If I remember correctly this is covered in the second edition Chim / Griff Bible by Steve Heath - Buy this manual and you'll never look back.

I have fitted 5" components in the front and plan to fit Infinity 6" in the rear which give good base. I won't fit 6x9s as I want to be able to return the car to original condition if I want.
I won't be going subwoofer as I have those in my other car and they are for cruising cars! All I want is to be able to get better sound when going on motorways - the rest of the time the grunt of the V8 is all I want to hear!!
My only concern now is how to feed the wires through the car without disturbing the tight carpet fit that the Chim currently has. It seems that the only possible way is to lift up and then re-glue all the carpet - is that the only way or is there a trick to minimise damage?

the vents are there to let the air out of the cabin when you shut the door with the roof on...if you fit rear spreakers you may want to leave a gap to allow the air to escape still. Dave Hughes did a good article on this on www.tvrcc-surrey.co.uk ...
