As per the title.

The ad has been posted twice within the hour, and each ad has a different ebay seller i.d, and a different address.

An early Chim it may be.......but for £3600 it says scam all day long.

There are hundreds of these on ebay. Mostly in the classic cars areas, Fords, Lotus etc

They are more of an annoyance than anything because they are listed at 99p so always appear if you search by lowest price. They often list the same car at the same time with multiple accounts that they have accessed so not very bright either.

My sons account was scammed recently and the upshot was that there were hundreds of items listed under his name in a very short time!

Be aware!

These ads always have 3 regular features.

The location will be 'UK GB'.

The description will contain a dodgy email address which the 'seller' will ask for contact on.

The description will contain a ludicrously low 'buy it now' price.

Please report any such ads that you see to Ebay.

Hi, can anyone give any thoughts on my chimaera up for sale;

https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

Posted it last month at £14k and had no calls so I guessed it must have been priced too high. I’ve just reposted for £2k less. The car is genuinely fantastic, but would like to check any thoughts on the price and details etc

Thanks

I've never seen a rear number plate recess like that before

It's a Malaysian car, made for the Japan domestic market.

Looks quite tidy.

The chassis doesn't look up to much but it is probably no more than a buildup of road dirt etc.

You can always check with a bit of brake cleaner and a rag.

The market is very slow at the moment. There are lots of Chims for sale from cheap stuff all the way to grossly overpriced dealer sales. A very recent post in the TVR main page by Cerbera owners trying to sell is similar.
The paintwork does look good as you would expect from Central. I would take out the offside rear light cluster (pull off the carpet and remove the screws holding it in place) and wipe out all the condensation which shows in your pics. This could mean a leak somewhere in the car so worthwhile doing it.
If you don't have it advertised on eBay and Carandclassic (free on there) worth a go.

I'd imagine this would reduce its value.

Possibly, however the Malaysia are reputed to be of better quality than the ones from Blackpool, (allegedly said a spokesman!) laugh
