Proud new owner!

Hello everyone!
Please excuse my over zealous greeting! but I' am soon to be the new owner of a lovely Chim500! I believe the car was Steve Thomsit's (surrey TVRCC ro?) yellow 500! reg and I am awaiting to collect her from Castle TVR next week.
Used to have a 390SE a few years ago and have longed for a TVR since! so, I saw her on Castle's web site & traded in my boring SLK AMG for this beauty! looking forward to posting my experiences on here, and meeting you all soon at the summer PH/ TVRCC meets!
If anyone has any interesting stories about this lovely yellow monster then please let me know!

Oh its quite a well known car, used in photos by TRVCC and stuff
The car was also on the latest Jeremy Clarkson's DVD I believe.
Good choice. it looks stunning. There's some first class pictures and reports on the Surrey TVR club website. ummm... www.tvrcc-surrey... dot something... or something similar.

there are some soopa pics in the "le surrey run" section somewhere on the site.
I think everyone at the surrey tvr club will miss "burble" just as much as Steve and Karen.
For starters here is a cool one with Burble sporting the pH flag...
Nice to speak to you Ian. She is indeed a widely travelled and well loved Chimaera. Karen and I did almost forty thousand magical miles in her. She did have her five seconds of fame on JC's Hot Metal DVD last year and also has pride of place on one of the boards on the TVRCCs stand. David Batty is on 01483 811995, if you have any questions regarding her service history. Karen and I are delighted to know she's going to such a good home.

P.S. Forgot to mention when on the phone, when she's fully warmed up, the oil pressure will drop to around 15psi at idle.

Have just chatted to Steve! (nice man!) and I'm afraid the Monkey was not part of the deal!
my notes do state "looking for a griff500" but, I was swayed by the Chims more 'modern' looks, and bootspace! as well as all u lovely people here on the forum! (sic). After speaking with Steve, it looks like I'm in for a fab time this summer! with a well looked after and sorted car! a testament to Steve i think. look forward to mixing it up with you all soon!

Your e-mail brought a tear to my eye last night. You read so many threads saying "Does anyone know who bought my car...". It's great to know that she has found a good home and can look forward to racking up plenty more miles on the clock.

Many Thanks Karen, I have downloaded some lovely pic's of her already, just to wet my growing excitment! 10 days to go! haha! can't wait!
While on our way to Castle from Swansea (244 miles!)with my girlfriend Allison, I was trying to explain the love affair and pure emotional experience that driving a TVR is. she is no amateur when it comes to sports cars etc as her dad has his own bodyshop / spray business where she also works. (hopefully I wont be needing his expert services!!). And for for full 4 hours it took us to get there (in my boring SLK) she nodded and smiled in all thr right places as I continued to explain what TVR is all about. (no need to explain to any of you lot here!!) but, I had that feeling that she was just 'being understanding' and pandering to my child like excitment.
Well, as soon as she saw the car which stood out even among the newer Tuscan / Cerbs it was next to (now that's what I call YELLOW!) she started to smile and warm to the idea. 1 hour later after being expertly driven by Castle's resident race driver! she was hooked! "like a motorbike with 4 wheels" was how she described it. so, it looks like now I have a ticket to spend many loving hours cleaning and polishing her (the car!), and arranging summer trips away with her (the missus and the car!).
Well, I sound like a love struck teenager lol! but as we all know, TVR ownership is a love affair!!!
