Anyone know which fuse covers the windscreen washer pump please? The standars fuse box diagrams don't seem to cover this
It's on my mate's '97 car, although nothing else appears to be faulty, so unlikely to be fuse IMHO.

If its just stopped pumping its possible even probable its a dodgy connection on the pump or a seized pump.

Easy enough to sort. The pump is a push fit into the water tank inside bottom osf wing bottom.
Pull pump and redo connections. If shaft eont spin take it off soak in boiling hot water and see if that frees it up. Did on mine.

Not convinced it is fused.

I buggered the one on my Saab by trying to use the squirters when my screen was covered in dross on a cold winter morning. Totally frozen, burnt out the motor, rather than burn out the non-existent fuse.

But I think I must be the only TVR owner who uses the TVR in winter, so doubt that is your friend’s issue. More likely siezed up through lack of use..........

That’s a real possibility too Anthony. It’s been off the road since the back end of last year.

on my 97 it is fuse 17 but this fuse also does the wipers slow & fast.
You don't mention them as being a problem so perhaps it is not fuse related.
If you select wash without the wipers on does it give a couple of wipes?

Thaks everyone for the pointers. Enough to be going on with. My mate confirms everything else works, so obviously not the fuse.
I reckon it's seized through lack of use over the winter months. It's cold up there in Scotland too... yes

Try voltmeter connected to battery, operate washer switch and see if voltage drops slightly, if voltage drops slightly it proves motor is connected

May not give positive proof as the circuit from the wash switch goes to both the wash pump and the wiper delay relay. This is why I asked if the wipers gave a couple of sweeps when wash is pressed as this would prove the switch and its supply leaving just the remaining circuit to the pump or the pump itself.

The stalk and switch originates from a Vauxhall Cavalier hatch back...... your "Mate" wink was trying to activate the rear wash/wipe tongue out
