Door mirror motors - fused?

Mine stopped working, both at the same time.
Just wondering if they are run through a fuse, as I have glow-when-they-blow fuses and nowt is glowing.
Is the alternative that I have a wiring fault at the switch?

On my '96 car, it's fuse 16. 10A and shared with the boot lock.

But we know how accurate these fuse lists are sometimes. For instance, fuse 13 is supposed to be a spare but if I pull it out, the alarm goes off.

There is a mirror control unit behind the radio on my 2000 car which has the alloy push button mirror switch.

Thanks - that is helpful, as I am about the refurb both halves of the dash so will have to go in there.
I will check the back of the alloy switch first with a multimeter (mine is a 99 car, the type with the flake on top)

IIRC there is a small circuit board on the back of the alloy switch. My mirrors work intermittently and I think moisture in the door is the cause. It’s not something I can be bothered to fix.

The fuse on my old 95 car also fed the boot release.

Boot release still fine. I am leaning towards it being the switch. Door card off jobbie. Been there before, so know how it all comes apart.
Luckily I can get my arm in through the speaker hole and have a 10mm ratchet ring spanner. Thanks, Alex, for that tip about 5-6 years ago.......crikey, his car has been off the road all that time!

My 99 car stopped working last year.

You will find that the unprotected multipoint connector hangs in the bottom of the door and gets soaked with rainwater.

Pull it apart, clean up the pins and spray with contact cleaner.

Worked for me!
