Gents

Bit of help if you please.

Went to Goodwood Breakfast Club on Sunday, and when I got back I noticed that the offside indicator had vanished from the mesh in sits in, looks like it might have fallen in behind the mesh, can see the cables and looks like something is still attached, but can't see it properly as it has fallen below the intercooler pipework.

How do I access it to see what has happened.

How does it reinstall, can't find any info anywhere.

Thank you

Does your car have the mesh grill across the front?
I suspect it does...so you need to remove it...start at one end and fold the rubber lip back the get some sort of hook in between the rubber and the grill. Pull gently whilst easing the rubber lip over the grill. work top and bottom evenly until you have the grill out.
You can then get your arm in and find the lamp. From the factory it was just bonded into the mini grill with PU sealant so just clean it up and bond it again.

Hi Steve

Yes it does have the mesh grill at front, just hope there is enough room with all the intercooler and stuff from the Turbo install, otherwise it is going to be a pita of a job!

Thanks for the advice will have a look as MOT due soon.

I too have an early car with the grille and you are right, the intercooler pipes will get in the way. It should be easy enough to remove the pipes after slackening off the jubilee type hose clips to give you better access.
I used Sikaflex 221 to bond mine in after I changed them. You may need to hold it in place while the sealant sets. I jammed a piece of wood behind it and left it overnight.
Since then I have cut an access hole behind the headlamp in the inner wing and fixed a cover in place with some self tapping screws. This makes it so much easier to change a bulb in the headlight or indicator - no more dismantling and cursing.
