Just bought a road angel and rather than reinvent the wheel has anyone got any experience of the best place to position it on a Chim so that it fits, can easily be seen when driving and does not get in the way?
Also anything else I should take into consideration that experience has taught you?

I use the window mount in the centre bottom of the screen. Just make sure that the little window in the front of the Road Angel isn't obscured by the wiper when its parked.
Also for convenience i connected the power cable under the dash and fed it between the dash top and the base of the windscreen surround. Just makes it a neater job than having a cable wandering around to the cigar lighter.
I position mine on the steering column which covers alittle of the speedo and rev counter but only the bits I,m not interested in. It's a more accurate speedo anyway. This is a good position aesthetically and does not stand out for stealing if you pop into a shop for a few minutes etc. There are two slight downsides 1) I can't see the ignition warning light which is important if you lose a fan belt, so I'm going to swap this round with the alarm light which is at the top. 2) It means that the laser sensor isn't being used - Well I have doubts as to whether that's any real use. By the time you've sensed it you're nicked anyway.

Get the wiring plumbed in with a switch on it. The flying lead to the ciggy lighter is a pain in the arriss.

I put mine just over the instrument binnacle cowling, with the flex lead in the ciggy lighter and wedged in where the windscreen meets the dash.
Keeps everything tidy and does away with the cost of having it hard wired.
That said, the hardwiring job in Big Al's Tusc is a work of art

But surely in the position you suggest the rear view sensor would be blocked out by a bl**dy big thing with red hair on it?
The wiring in the Tusc is gonna be changed soon hoping the wire will almost dissapear.
BTW the new plates go on this weekend. OH

That would be the case if using the illegal laser attachment on the road angel one ! I site mine on the bottom right of the windscreen and use the coiled lead to the ciggy lighter. (Don't know about the road angel II)
