Probably yet another Roverguage question, apologies if it's been here before.

Installed software and configured ok, connect cable to loom plug, ran car and all on Roverguage worked fine. Made no changes to laptop and now when software running displays "Unable to read ECU.."

Car starts and seems to run ok, just trying to check the stepper as idle a little erratic occasionally.

You need to reconfigure the com port like you did when you first made connection. The documentation shows you how to 'fix' the com port so that your pc remembers the port allocation

The cable has 2 lights on it, red and green. One is transmit to the ECU and the other is receive from the ECU. If you have the com port set up correctly, the transmit light will flash as you connect RoverGauge, and the receive light will flash as data comes back from the ECU (this is so fast they appear to flash together)

So - No lights when you connect RoverGauge- wrong or not configured com port, or one light only- connection error to the ECU. Check the diagnostics on the last page of the quick install guide.

All,
Thanks for the responses and all sorted. Seems between the time first used and the subsequent when it failed, something happened and caused conflict on the ports. Port now reassigned and working...
Many thanks
