Coding a New Alarm Blibber

Having recently purchased my ’97 Chim, I was slightly worried that it only came with one alarm blipper so I have been out and purchased a second blipper before being left “high and dry”.

I have been told that the procedure to synchronise the new blipper is to repeatedly arm/disarm the alarm with the current blipper until the system “gives up”, at which point the new blipper is fired and the alarm system allows it to “register”. This process does not appear to be working. Does anyone know and alternative process to register a new blipper onto my car?

He's a Meta specialist and I can highly recommend him, having sorted out a new immobiliser for me and re-coding 2 new fobs.

I bought a second Meta fob, and here's the instructions:
Meta Alarm Fob Resyncing Procedure...

1) You must have a working fob.

2) With the working fob, activate/deactivate the alarm 8 times (i.e. 8 x on, and 8 x off) the alarm will not take any more actions beyond this anyway. All other fob details will be deleted at this point (apart from the one used for the 16 actions).

3) Within 8 seconds, activate the new fob, the system will respond with a change of state (it may require a couple of attempts), the details of the new fob are then added to the data held by the system unit.

4) Any other fobs you wish to use must also be activated at this time (apart from the one used in point 2).

5) Leave the system quiet for 8 secs plus.

6) Your new fob(s) and the original one will now be synchronised with the system.

I was warned that meta systems can only take 3 fobs i.e. two original fobs plus one replacement fob, but I suspect this means a total of three fobs in the list of usable fobs.

Many thans for the advice. I've tried the alarm on/off 8 times route on a number of occasions now, with no luck so it looks like I'll be giving Carl a call this week.
