Went to the boot and found this little blighter had snapped, any ideas where I can get replacement rubberised bit from?

Go to a big tyre dealership and blag a dead lorry innertube.
Get cutting.

Or buy a couple of luggage straps, and fix the wheel cenral to the tank thereby making getting the roof in easier.
Will photo tomorrow if required

What a great find. I've been making do with a tie-down lashing that is really fiddly to get tight. Mine snapped in exactly the same place.
