Silencer

Hi folks, I'm just wondering if there are many people on here who have added further silencing to the standard exhaust?

I've got myself CF 's manifold and y piece to put in the car when it goes back together, and just thought as the exhaust system is already off, it might be an opportune moment to do something about the soon to be increased noise levels. Don't get me wrong, I love a good v8 roar, just thinking about future track days and longer journeys in it. AND I'm 43 now and not 23, so I'm not looking for further attention! Lol

Contact Trev4. He had an exhaust company replace the pipes from the silencer back. They replaced the swan neck tubes with what looks like fatter tubes but are in fact silenced pipework. The sound is fantastic as in quieter but still got the full V8 burble.

Ok, many thanks. That's something I could probably done with the exhaust back in situ I'd if thought. I'm wondering being as it's off, the silencers might be worth packing out a bit more?

I very much doubt it will make any noticeable difference.

TVR did make a few swiss spec exhausts which have a few extra silencers in them, but I can't find any pictures. You could potentially copy the design
