Speedo Transducer swap

Due to a now much meatier propshaft flange, I need to mount the speed transducer wheel backwards and move the transducer pickup point.

Can't use the original pickup as it's way too long to fit anywhere.
Anyone know if I can use the earlier black dial transducer or perhaps even the tuscan one on a white dial car?

Both look much smaller
