Another Body Off.......

My car is at Central having a body off at the moment. It's nearly finished and I'll be traveling up to see it now that it's all screwed back together. The car is a '99 with about 43,000 miles on it.

I thought it might be worth sharing a few photos which Adrian has just sent to me. Before Central started the work, I believed the chassis to be in reasonable nick, as did the specialist who has looked after it previously. It was supposedly waxoyled from new, but it's clear from the photos they (whoever did it) just did the bits visible from below. I debated whether just to do the outriggers, or to go for the full body off. I think on balance body off was the right choice!

I'm curious to know: will the Chimaera body go back on over the manifolds? The Griff won't, more's the pity.

BTW, Central had my Griff's chassis in for repair. They wrote it off!

My Tuscan chassis last year! Again was waxoyled regularly by a main dealer.





The car will be ready to pick up later this week after nearly a year since I started the restoration.
