Afternoon All,

So I am at the point of replacing the fuel feed and return pipes on my resto Chim.

I can see there are different options of routing - Feed NS, Return OS,both NS, upper/ lower etc.. is there a prefered or "correct way"?

Also, pipe vs hose?

Any steer would be welcomed smile

Keep them where they can be seen and accessed easily for maintenance purposes.
Mine follow the factory route on the lower chassis rails, I extended the copper up into the engine bay for easier access as I didn’t like the location above the bellhousing.
I also extended them at the back slightly so the rubber hose could be connected easier.
I went over to this hose, not cheap but you need high quality stuff.

Thanks for that, I will try and find details on the original routing. I’m presuming better to use the copper piper as much as possible, instead of using entire rubber tube?

After a quick google are both reed and return on the lower rail of the NS Chassis?

They just go along the bottom of the chassis. Put any joins where they are easy to access.

Make sure you buy quality hose which is resistant to modern ethanol fuels.

Gates is popular on here but there are other quality brands available.

Be careful with flea bay. Even if rubber hose has some spec printed on it, it may not meet that spec.

I have just done a body off on a Griff, and obviously replaced all the fuel pipes.

I am assuming the Chim is the same as the Griff in this respect.

If you want any photos of where I ran the fuel pipes (which was as close to original as practical), send me a pm.
