Wanted - Chimaera 500 badge

Anyone got a Chimaera 500 rear badge that they are willing to sell? My ‘96 500 came with a plain Chimaera badge in gold and was fitted with Imolas so looks like a std 400.

My '96 just has the plain badge as well - I think they started the 500 badges from '97 onwards.

I've been looking for a gold 500 badge for a long time to no avail, unfortunately!

I used a cheap self adhesive one from ebay as a temporary measure which looked remarkably good.

Thanks, have tried one and yes they’re not bad at all but I’m really after an original one. Last resort is a new one from Racetech and then recoated gold but that’s £££££

400’s are much faster anyway.
I don’t really see the problem.

Just curious, but my 500 has the gold badges, are they actually gold plated? I know it sounds a silly question.

Out of curiosity I got a WBAC quote for my 2000 Chimaera 500...£150. Sounds like a fair price.

Strange - they offered me £9000 for my car, which they think is a 400. It's actually a 4.6 turbo, so I ignored them.

It's just an algorithm usually based on car age.

I was offered £150 too, in 2019 for a Cerbera 4.5!

Yes, but the algorithm says take the true market value, and deduct the next five years worth of non-routine repairs.....
Which explains why a Chimaera 400 is worth £9,000 and a Cerbera 4.5 is worth £150.
