Hi everyone , yet another Blue one in the gang !

Hi,
Just introducing myself to the world of Pistonheads. I have lusted over TVR's since the days of Wedges but only last year, finally took the plunge and became the proud owner of a lovely 1999 Imperial Blue Chimaera 400 [photo in my profile]. I have been meaning to join the Pistonheads community for quite a while but never quite got round to it until a few days ago.
Anyway,the car has been truly fantastic and I've taken advantage of every opportunity to go for a blast when the sun finally decided to pop its head out.
My car, V716 MKE hailed originally from Waldonways in Kent and I believe it lived mainly in Maidstone, Kent area until it emigrated to sunny East Anglia last year. It is now living a very pampered life and only emerges from its garage when the bright yellow thing appears in the sky. If anyone remembers my car, or knows anything of the cars history I would certainly be interested to hear from you.
Some of you may also recognise my car, as it featured in a four car shoot out with a BMW M3 Roadster, a Boxy Porker and a Merc 230 in December 2004 edition of "Used Car Buyer" magazine. (I still have the articles). I let the feature editor have a burn in the Chim and he was mightily impressed,it certainly helped the Chim get some of the best comments, photos and coverage in the article anyway

and also the V8 badge on the back is that standard?

I must confess the estorils bit phased me slightly at first, I thought they were a form of Sandal. No Chim of mine is going to been seen wearing Sandals, Lumberjack or Army boots maybe!
The V8 badge isn't standard of course, but It is the official Rover one and I thought it looks great on the back without over doing things!. It counterbalances the Chim badge quite nicely.
A Rover spares supplier regularly sells the badges on Ebay for around £12-£18 or so each, all brand new and sealed

I quite fancy one of these instead of my Christopher Neil badge that's there at the moment.
Do you have any more information on the seller, as a quick scout on eBay didn't turn up anything? Feel free to e-mail me if you'd prefer.

I had a quick look on ebay.co.uk and although the person I bought mine from does not appear to have any Rover V8 badges listed just at the moment (I cannot recall his ebay name at the moment but would recognise it if I saw it), when I typed "V8 badge" into the Ebay search field, it returned 27 badges of varying styles for sale. There appeared to be some identical, or at least very similar to the Rover badge I obtained and are sometimes referred to as V8 large script badges. Run the search yourself, you should find them okay.
