Chimaera steering column joints
Discussion
Looking through the parts I have to refit on my "Chimaera project" I'm missing an upper joint, UJ/Knucle, the one that connects to the larger dia' Cavalier column spline, AKA the top one..
Is there a part number for this?
Is it TVR specific?
Are they fitted to an other TVR models?
Maybe an alternative part from another car maker?
I've done a Web page search but not found any info' so hoping for some advice.
Cheers

There are in fact 3 length versions.
~80mm ~100mm and ~120mm.
All with large spline one end and small the other.
Its critical to get the right one.
Not sure how you get to measure which one you need.
I would call Andy the parts guy at Powers to discuss
This ^ just beware see here (and yes the PH search function is s~80mm ~100mm and ~120mm.

Apologies Guys,
Missed your replies somehow.
Will get reading the links and yes mine is P.A. and I only have half of the original joint to measure because it has been disassembled and half lost (not by me). So the part number from TVR would be TVR H0359.
Cheers

I'll phone and confirm I'm going Thurs morning, I usually get there between 08:30 and 09:00 depending on the traffic.
You can play with the AFM if you want but I will not be going back on my car, it's redundant with my EFI setup.
When your steering knuckle(s) were replaced, where did they come from?

Yes Powers Performsnce
I got my top one done, just ask Andy nicely
At that time you couldn’t get replacements easily for the longer top one so I was looking at buying a shorter one and longer shaft so the few quid it cost for replacent bearings was well worth it as the castings are never stressed really.
It’s been great for a couple of years or so. I’d replaced bottom one previously so with both like new the steerings really good.
