Is my fan controller borked?

Mine is a 1999 car with the rotary fan knob. Press it for on/off, and rotate it to adjust speed.

When the car is cold, the fan switches on and off, but it doesn’t respond to the rotary control. It works at a fixed speed.

But after a few minutes of driving, the fan stops and won’t switch on.

Any thoughts on what has failed? Thanks!

Burned out connector on the control unit. Very common, dash top off, dismantle the controller outer casing, solder in a hard-wire replacement direct to the circuit board and rebuild

As Bobfather said, the box is under the dash top. It’s about the size of two packs of playing cards, and is just under the windscreen immediately behind the heater controls. Odd for TVR - it’s actually in a logical place wink
